What are the Different Ways I Can Position My Jeep Wrangler Soft Top?

Whether it has been nice and sunny out and you want to completely remove the top or you’re heading for a cruise and want to configure the Sunrider position, you can do so in a few simple steps. Additionally, the windows can be removed for even more customization options.

If you just want to experience a windows open drive, all you have to do is disconnect them from the top with these simple steps:

1. Open the swing gate
2. Locate the plastic connectors in the lower corner and gently pull to remove
3. Hold the bar at the bottom of the window rolling outward and up
4. Slide the swing gate bar to the left to remove
5. Gently pull the left and right side retainers
6. Pull the top of the window to the left
7. Next, remove the rear windows by pushing the bottom corners outward
8. Remove the fastener at the upper corner
9. Remove the plastic retainers and then slide the window toward the rear

Now that your windows are removed, you can ride like this or lower your soft top. To lower the top:

1. Push both sun visors towards the windshield and pull the handle on the roof down
2. Lift the number one bow, on both sides
3. Fold the soft top back for the sunrider position. To ride like this, use the fasteners on either side to secure the roof
4. To completely remove the top, move to the rear of the vehicle and unfasten the latch under the number six bow
5. Let the roof slide to the rear until it is in the stowed position
6. Push the roof down with slight pressure
7. Push the lift assist locks into the locked position
