Is your lease term approaching its end? Are you familiar with the correct procedures to follow when it’s time to return your leased vehicle? As the best West Palm Beach location for returning your leased Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, or RAM vehicle, the team here at Arrigo CDJR West Palm Beach has crafted an all-encompassing guide for the lease return process to assist you. Let’s begin!
The 3-Step Process
Step One: The Inspection
Before you return your leased vehicle, you will need to do an inspection on your own.
This inspection is essential because it lets you know if you went over the mileage limit or if there are any repairs needed before you return the car.
Here’s what we recommend doing before you bring the car back to the dealership:
- Check how many miles you’ve driven.
- Give your vehicle a good cleaning.
- Look over the whole car for any extra wear and tear.
- Complete any repairs or services needed.
- Contact your lender and get an inspection (this step is mandatory).
Step Two: Return Your Vehicle
When the day comes for you to actually bring your leased vehicle to our West Palm Beach dealership location, all you have to do is bring the leased vehicle, both keys, and your driver’s license with you to your appointment and you’ll be all set!
Please plan to spend 45 – 60 mins (Appointment only).
Step Three: Inspection Report
After you return your leased vehicle, you will get a letter from the leasing company detailing the results of their own inspection of your vehicle.
Please keep in mind that you may incur some fees or charges, especially if you went over the mileage limit or the vehicle had excessive wear and tear.
Here are some FAQs We’ve Compiled for You
If you’re ready to part ways with your Dodge, RAM, Jeep, or Chrysler lease, just follow the steps mentioned earlier. If you want to keep cruising in the same ride, reach out to your leasing company to work out a new deal.
Now, if you’ve really clicked with your current set of wheels, you can make it official and buy it when the lease ends. Just check your lease agreement for the suggested purchase price. Easy as that!
If you’ve moved from where you started the lease, no worries! You can find another Dodge, Jeep, RAM, or Chrysler dealership nearby and turn it in there.
- If applicable to your leased vehicle model, bring the toolkit and spare tire.
- Don’t forget all the sets of keys.
- Don’t forget to bring your driver’s license! We need the owner of the lease to be present with a valid driver’s license.
- Bring along all the owner’s manuals.
- And if your ride came with extras like cargo covers, radios, or headrests when you first got the lease, bring those too.
Easy, right?
- Late charge
- Disposition fee
- Wear and tear charge
- Mileage overage fee
Other than that, you’re all set!
